So before I get into anything else, I did shrink one pant size. This is particlularly exciting for me because the last time I went up a pant size, it was the biggest I had ever been, so needless to say, it was a little depressing. So I have definitely made progress
I was also introduced to a new challenge idea this week. Diet challenges that could be for a duration as short as 1 month to as long as 6. It involves choosing a food or type of food to cut back on (no soda, no sugars, etc). I have mixed feelings about the idea. While it may be a fun way to lose weight, my weight loss has been more centered around changing habits than short-term ideas. I’ll update you guys if I do attempt this.
I will be, however, cutting back on my efforts a little bit. Like I said in the intro blog, there is a LOT going on this semester, so until May, when I graduate and the warm weather brings new workout activities, I will be taking a more conservative approach. I am not halting my weight loss altogether. Some things I will continue to do:
- Walk instead of CTA/Uber
- Drink less soda (I’m barely drinking any)
- Drink more water
- Calorie count/make healthy food swaps: I’m still super conscious of what I’m eating. It may not be perfect, but I’m going to avoid binging and overdoing unhealthy stuff
These blogs will be a little less frequent over the next few months, but I will write any time I’m feeling inspired (new recipe, a good walk, challenge updates/ideas). I am super proud of how far I come, so this will serve as a way to keep the progress, however small, going.
