People’s Choice Awards: the best and worst looks

Actors, comedians, and musicians gathered last night for the 43rd annual, People’s Choice Awards. This year’s host, Joel McHale, brought on the jokes and babies, during the event airing live on CBS by opening with a skit with his cast-mates from “The Great Indoors,” where everyone is skeptical about his ability to host the awards show. Additionally, there were even a couple of firsts during the award show this Wednesday. Fifth Harmony had their first performance as a quartet and killed it. Jennifer Lopez won her first People’s Choice award for Favorite Crime Drama TV Actress, after years of receiving nominations.

A total of 64 awards were granted for categories in television, movies, music, and digital media. The only category that wasn’t awarded during the show was fashion. Some PCA nominees arrived dressed to kill, while others seemed to be fashion victims…

Jennifer Lopez slayed in her beautifully embellished gothic-style gown despite the wardrobe malfunction. She ripped her dress and remained stunning!

Priyanka Chopra was absolutely gorgeous in this flirty, fringed, ensemble. What appeared to be a cocktail dress is actually a two-piece set.

Ruby Rose literally bringing a new meaning to the phrase “Orange is the New Black.” There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Orange is Ruby’s color.

John Stamos is as handsome as ever in his relaxed blue suit. The outrageous footwear adds a little bit of flash to his laid-back look.

Yara Shahidi definitely missed her mark with this gown. It seems as if maybe she lost a very intense game of checkers.

Chris Sullivan appears that he may have dressed for the wrong award show. Rather than People’s Choice, he looks like he’s prepared to be slimed on the Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards.

Kristen Bell wore a metallic jumpsuit which was a good attempt at a great fashion statement. However, we can’t seem to pull our attention away from the white scalloped cups on her chest.

Karina Smirnoff in a dress that belongs at a nightclub rather than on the red carpet. This look vaguely resembles a vulture or maybe a bad attempt at black swan.
